Is the bold eye the new bold lip? We uncovered new trends and must-have products for fall as well as tricks from the beauty experts at Neiman Marcus. Think metallic eye palettes, jewel-tone nail lacquers and anti-aging serums.

Precious Metals

Like this season’s fashion trends, we saw a mix of luxe hues—emerald and deep blue—and high-glam jewels from popular beauty brands like Deborah Lippmann, Dior and Estee Lauder. Our picks?

Expert tip: Before applying nail lacquer to your nails, do not shake the bottle but rather roll it between your hands gently. This helps eliminate bubbles during application. If you haven’t used your lacquer bottle in a while, shake vigorously and let sit for about 45 minutes before applying to your nails.

The “Eye” in Anti-Aging

The first sign of aging happens in the eyes—puffiness, circles and lines. These new products utilize new technologies to help slow down the appearance of aging and help correct existing imperfections. Our picks?

Expert tip: Think you’re too young to be using “anti-aging” products? Contrary to popular belief, anti-aging eye creams and serums can help brighten your face, especially your eye contour, making you appear more awake and vivacious—even if you were out a little too late last night.

All products featured in today’s blog post can be purchased at your local Neiman Marcus store or neimanmarcus.com. The sweetener? Score Neiman Marcus’ epic annual samples-filled tote with your cosmetic or fragrance purchase of $125 or more in stores or online Sept. 11-22. Plus, during the event, visit your favorite beauty counters such as Kate Somerville, Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier for additional gifts with purchase.

Obama made a controversial ccoihe of location for his place to reach out to the Muslim world in Cairo, Egpyt under Mubarak. In today’s world they no longer prop up dictators like him to halt the spread of communism but rather the threat to secular Islam. The ongoing state of emergency grants him broad powers to lock opponents up indefinitely. During the cold war the U.S decided they needed this guy on their side. The thin cigar smoking president on the balcony in Baghdad with General Casey whom he later replaced. (Bob Woodward Obama’s War) At the presidential level it’s a strongman dictatorship, much like Saddam Hussein, the assassination lead to a former air-force officer who had been his vice-president and who took over under a state of emergency still in force today. Twenty five years later the state of emergency was still in place. He ran unopposed in 3 elections, then he finally ran for re-election under pressure from the $2 billion dollars aid from the U.S (Israel gets the other $3 billion for F-16’s etc and the rest up to $5 billion for the whole region). Seventy percent of American aid is tied to buying back their weapons. In 2005 in an ostensibly open race against 2 opponents he banned the main opposition the radical Hamas styled brotherhood and arrested them during the elections.
